- Parking space management
- 12 cameras & 5 vending machines
- EasyPark App
The 5 km long network of hiking and cycling trails and numerous sports and leisure activities attract many visitors to the 2.5 km long Unterbacher See in Düsseldorf in the high season. Until May 2023, the parking areas on the lakeside promenade were not managed by a professional parking system, which led to parking chaos and long queues, especially in the high season.
The barrier-free parking management system from Peter Park offers visitors a seamless and convenient parking experience. The license plate number is recorded by scanners when entering and leaving the car park and the parking time is determined automatically. Bathers have the option of paying before entering the parking area using the Easy Park smartphone app, while on-site parking machines offer alternative payment options by entering the license plate number. Detailed signage reminds you to pay before leaving the area.
The system installed at Unterbacher See not only helps to avoid traffic jams at peak times, but also helps to reduce CO2 emissions in the region. By dispensing with barriers, wear-prone components are reduced and paper and waste are saved. The income from parking space management directly benefits the guests of Unterbacher See, as it enables important maintenance projects and investments in the local recreation area.
"Our primary goal was to find an optimal management solution for the existing parking spaces at Unterbacher See. We therefore deliberately opted for the digital solution from Peter Park , as the system is highly efficient and user-friendly. We are certain that visitors to Unterbacher See will benefit from the new parking concept and look forward to a successful collaboration."
