With its 18,000 square meters of retail space, daseinstein is Munich's largest shopping center within the Mittlerer Ring. Health facilities and a fitness center complete the offer. Traffic jams in front of the barriers posed a challenge due to the proximity to the main traffic artery of the state capital. There was also a need for simple management of the various user groups.
In order to manage the parking areas more efficiently, the decision was made in favor of the barrier-free solution from Peter Park. A major advantage for the shopping center is the central administration of all user groups and conditions. This allows individual businesses in the shopping center to issue discounts and parking authorizations, which are registered via a tablet.
Since the implementation of the system, visitors enter and exit the parking garage and underground garage seamlessly and without stopping. Various payment options round off the customer-friendly parking experience. The digital management of parking spaces saves costs and resources for daseinstein's operators, as does the elimination of maintenance costs for barrier systems.
"With the introduction of the new parking system, we are also introducing digitalization and thus laying the foundations for future sustainable usage concepts such as car sharing. The new technology is also less susceptible to faults."
