Peter Park and EasyPark intensify cooperation on barrier-free parking areas

The Peter Park System GmbH and the EasyPark Group set a new standard in the digitalization of traffic.

Thanks to a deeper integration between EasyPark and the Peter Park system, users can now pay automatically via the Automatic CameraPark feature in barrier-free parking spaces and parking garages equipped with the Peter Park system. This gives parkers the most convenient parking experience possible.

EasyPark users can activate the new feature in the EasyPark app. After a one-time activation, it is possible for parkers to park in the technically upgraded parking spaces and pay fully automatically: When entering a barrier-free Automatic CameraPark space, the parking process is automatically started in the EasyPark app without having to open the app. When the car leaves the area again, the parking process is automatically ended and payment is made.

This is made possible by the cooperation between the Munich-based technology provider Peter Park System GmbH and the parking app EasyPark. The Peter Park system enables barrier-free entry and exit through automatic license plate recognition and offers as a platform the linking with various mobility services. Through the integration of EasyPark, the registered parking process can be paid in the app, cashless and transparent.

Automatic CameraPark combines the technology under a new standard: If the feature was activated once in the EasyPark app by a so-called opt-in, the license plate number is read when entering a parking area/parking garage equipped with the Peter Park system and the parking process is started automatically in the EasyPark app. This eliminates the need for manual check-in. When exiting, the license plate recognition is used to check out and the parking process is paid for automatically.

"The parkers only pay for the time parked, without stress and without having to think about paying at the machine or fearing incorrectly redeemed tickets. The parking process can be viewed at any time in the EasyPark app. The feature is also a popular innovation for frequent users, as the effect of the automated "pay what you use" means additional convenience and thus creates a location advantage for appropriately equipped parking garages," says Maximilian Schlereth, Managing Director of Peter Park System GmbH.
