Varel-Dangast is a popular local recreation area in the north of Germany and a popular destination for vacationers and day visitors beyond the Frisian borders. Due to the large number of visitors, there is always an increased volume of traffic in the municipality and in the surrounding parking areas.
At the three parking areas in Dangast, the license plates are automatically scanned on entry and exit and the parking time is determined. This means that bathers only have to pay for the time they have actually parked. Payment is made easily at the machine, which offers alternative payment options, by entering the license plate number. After completing the payment process, the guest can conveniently leave the parking area without having to wait unnecessarily at the exit.
Thanks to the barrier-free system solution, the elimination of paper tickets and the low maintenance and acquisition costs, considerable savings have been achieved for the city of Varel. Paper and waste are saved and the reduction of CO2 emissions in the municipality is supported by avoiding backlogs.
