On sunny summer days, it stays cool in the Tscheppachlucht gorge with its numerous waterfalls. It is therefore also ideal for hikes in the hot season. The adjacent forest rope park promises a variety of climbing fun for adventurers of all ages. In order to offer its guests an all-round pleasant experience in and around the Tscheppaschlucht gorge, which also includes the parking process, the municipality of Ferlach has digitized the adjacent parking area, which was previously operated with a barrier system.
The digital Peter Park system works without barriers. This eliminates the need to stop at the entrance and exit and also avoids tailbacks. The parking lot is now seamlessly accessible. There are also no tickets that can get lost. Instead, the new system automatically calculates the parking time using data protection-compliant license plate recognition. Payment at the touchscreen-controlled machine is made at the end of the stay by entering the license plate number. Alternatively, payment can also be made via the Parkster parking app or online.
Thanks to its favorable geographical location in the center of Europe, the Tscheppaschlucht gorge not only attracts Austrian visitors. Guests also come from the surrounding countries. The license plate recognition system also reliably recognizes their license plates. Users can select different language versions at the pay station. This makes payment user-friendly and easy to use for all parkers.
I am pleased that we can offer our visitors a user-friendly, modern, functioning parking system.
