The airport in Klagenfurt was looking for a new parking management system for its parking lot and the "Kiss & Fly" zone. The requirements for the new solution were: low maintenance, numerous - including electronic - payment options and a fast, convenient parking process for employees and passengers. The digital, barrier-free Peter Park system was chosen.
The new solution works without barriers and parking tickets, so that cars at Klagenfurt Airport can drive to the parking areas and park directly without stopping. Even during peak times in the summer vacation period, this avoids traffic jams at the access roads. The license plates are scanned on entry and exit without recognizing the people in the vehicle. In addition to the license plates, the system stores the time of entry and exit and automatically calculates the parking time. Payment is made conveniently at user-friendly machines or via the parking app by entering the license plate number.
The installed system creates a modern, transparent and customer-oriented parking management system. The new solution dispenses with components that are susceptible to wear and tear, thereby reducing maintenance and repair costs. It also optimizes processes in the parking area, increasing efficiency for travellers and visitors as well as for the airport itself.
The introduction of digital and barrier-free parking management will make our airport more customer-oriented and sustainable. Passengers save time and the airport saves costs, so everyone benefits, and we can also score points with even faster routes.
