Before the introduction of the digital parking solution, parkers had to buy a ticket for their planned stay in the 570 parking spaces on the arrivals and departures level when they arrived at the parking areas. If the parking time was extended, an additional trip to the ticket machine was necessary. Tracking parking violations generated personnel costs for the airport.
Since the introduction of Peter Park's digital parking management system, parkers have been paying the parking fee at the end of their stay at user-friendly pay stations or via app by entering their license plate number. The amount to be paid is limited to the actual parking time. To automatically calculate the parking time, scanners at the entrance and exit record the license plates of the vehicles in compliance with data protection regulations.
For visitors to the airport, the digital parking solution offers an improved and more customer-friendly parking experience. They do not have to decide on a parking time when they leave their vehicle and do not have to pay in between. For the airport company, the digital management of parking spaces and parking violations significantly reduces effort and costs.
