As the majority of business and private trips are made by car, this poses challenges for tourist communities such as Bodman-Ludwigshafen and their residents. The search traffic of those arriving led to noise pollution in the town. It was also inconvenient for parkers to have to decide on a parking duration and buy the corresponding parking ticket before starting the parking process, and to have to extend it afterwards if necessary.
To ensure the perfect interplay of all processes, the municipality decided to unify the system landscape and opt for the digital solution from Peter Park. The Peter Park system was installed in four parking areas, which now ensures uncomplicated and user-friendly barrier-free parking.
The four barrier-free parking spaces are another building block for a sustainable vacation experience in the municipality. By dispensing with barriers and seamlessly integrating the occupancy data into the new dynamic parking guidance system, wear-prone components are reduced, paper is saved, waste is avoided and, by preventing traffic jams, the reduction of CO2 emissions in the municipality is supported.
