There have been repeated problems with the existing barrier-based parking management system at the Bergisel parking area in Innsbruck. If the barrier system failed, guests previously had to wait until the security service was on site to open the barrier manually. In addition, the system was associated with high maintenance and costs for the operators.
In fall 2023, Bergisel Betriebsgesellschaft introduced the system solution from Peter Park . When entering and leaving the parking area, a scanner now reads the vehicle's license plate number and the parking time is determined automatically. The pay stations offer a wide range of payment options; alternatively, payment can also be made via the EasyPark parking app. The amount to be paid is limited to the actual parking time.
The installed system from Peter Park offers a modern and user-friendly parking experience and reduces the effort and costs for the Bergisel operating company. In addition, the system supports the concept of sustainability because the use of wear-prone components is reduced by dispensing with barriers. In addition, visitors can now leave the parking area at any time without any problems.
Many of our guests are tourists who are planning a visit to Bergisel as part of their vacation. With the barrier-free, digital solution, parkers can leave at any time. Due to the reliability and the associated customer convenience, among other things, we have decided to introduce this new innovative solution at Bergisel.
