Life is too short
for barriers.

Mr. Schröder

The man who dreams of a world without barriers.

It's Friday evening, it's been a long week and Mr Schröder has been looking forward to dinner at his favorite restaurant all week. The smell of delicious pasta fills the air and the waitress brings the steaming plate. "Finally, a moment just for me," he thinks, smiling as he picks up his fork and rolls up the first noodles. But just as he is about to take a bite, his cell phone rings. A quick glance at the display - it's the boss. Mr. Schröder has to go to the counter immediately. Shaking his head in disappointment, he puts down his fork and sets off, hoping that his evening won't be ruined again too soon.

But this hope comes to nothing. Mr. Schröder is going to the cinema! A new film by his favorite director has just been released and he's been looking forward to it all week. He would have liked to finish work on time, but a fault with one of the barriers, for which he is responsible as parking manager, has once again delayed him. The hall is dark, the movie has already started. No matter! With his huge bag of popcorn, he balances himself to his seat - at last! Nothing can stop him now. Or can he? His cell phone rings in the crowded cinema - how unpleasant! One of his barriers is broken again. It's no use, the cozy movie night at the cinema is over. The barrier is calling. Can't he just take a deep breath?

It seems to be lucky so far! Today Mr. Schröder meets his dream woman! After many chats and long phone calls, the time has finally come! He's dressed up and picked up his date Valerie. The two of them spent a fantastic evening together and got to know each other. What happens next? Mr. Schröder is unsure: should he dare to take the next step? Oh, Valerie recognizes his hesitation and takes matters into her own hands: "Are you still coming up?" she whispers. It's now or never, a kiss! Or not? His cell phone rings and he answers it - after all, he's always on call. One of his barriers is broken again. Will Valerie forgive him for the abrupt end to the date? Or has the barrier driven his dream woman away for good?

So Mr. Schröder begins to dream. Of a world without barriers.

The challenges with a barrier.

Not user-friendly

Parkers often have to wait until the barrier opens - an obstacle to user-friendliness. Added to this is the cumbersome handling of tickets, which can get lost and often have to be inserted correctly.

Expensive

Barriers are expensive - both to purchase and to operate due to the high costs of maintenance and repairs. If a barrier gets stuck, a service must be available around the clock, which is also costly.

Susceptible to wear

Barriers are prone to wear and tear because they open and close for every vehicle. This is not only expensive, but also not very sustainable.

Cost reduction

Loss of earnings

If the barrier is defective, it remains open. Until it has been repaired, parkers can park their vehicles free of charge. What makes users happy, however, leads to loss of earnings for the operator.
